The Summer Hackathon aims to promote scientific knowledge in the national languages of Burkina Faso, making education more accessible and inclusive for all citizens. By creating scientific videos in local languages, we bridge the gap between advanced knowledge and cultural accessibility.
This hackathon is a joint initiative between the Burkina Institute of Technology and the German Embassy, bringing together technological expertise and international cooperation to foster innovation in educational content creation and distribution.
Participants can compete in one or more of the following categories, each focusing on a different aspect of scientific communication in national languages.
Create engaging animated videos explaining scientific concepts in the national languages of Burkina Faso. Focus on clarity, creativity, and cultural relevance.
Develop comprehensive scientific texts in national languages that can serve as scripts for videos or standalone educational materials. Accuracy and accessibility are key.
Create strategies and campaigns to effectively distribute and promote scientific videos in national languages, reaching diverse audiences across Burkina Faso.
